The temple, situated over Neelachal Parbat or Kamagiri in the city of Guwahati is one of its several religious landmarks. The Kamakhya Temple had been built in reverence to Goddess Kamakhya or Sati, who was one of the numerous incarnations of Goddess Durga or Goddess Shakti.

Day 01: Arrival at Guwahati-Shillong (130 Kms / 3 ½ Hrs Drive)
Meet and greet at Guwahati Airport/Station and drive to Shillong. Enroute visit Umium Lake. Check in Hotel. Overnight in Shillong.
Day 02: Shillong - Cherrapunjee - Shillong (60 Kms / 2 Hrs-One Way)
After breakfast excursion to Cherrapunjee. Later return back to Shillong. Evening visit Local markets. Overnight in Shillong.
Day 03: Shillong - Bhalukpong (350 Kms / 7 ½ Hrs)
After breakfast transfer to Bhalukpong & overnight.
Day 04: Bhalukpung - Dirang (185 Kms / 6 ½ Hrs)
After breakfast drive to Dirang. Enroute visit Tippi Orchid Centre. Check in Hotel. Evening at Leisure. Overnight at Dirang.
Day 05: Dirang - Tawang (155 Kms / 6 Hrs)
Morning drive to Tawang. Enroute witness the snowcapped Sella Pass at 14000 ft and the Jaswant Garh War Memorial. (Legend has it that Jaswant (Mahavir Chakra Awardee (Posthumous) of 4th Batallion Garhwal Rifles), fought a lone battle against the invading Chinese during the 1962 war. His spirit is still believed to protect the place). Overnight in Tawang.
Day 06: Tawang
Tawang - The beautiful land of the Monpa tribes with the “GALDEN NAMGYEL LHATSE” Monestary - one of the largest Lamaseries of Mahayana sect in Asia. The birth place of the 6th Dalai Lama, the Monastery is 400 year old and is adorned with the 18 feet high statue of Lord Buddha. ‘The Land of Dawn-lit Mountains’ at 3500 mts gives you unparallel purity of nature. Visit the monastery and the War Memorial. Evening free for shopping. Overnight in Tawang.
Day 07: Tawang - Bomdila (180 Kms / 6 Hrs)
Morning drive back to Bomdila. Evening free at leisure. Overnight in Bomdila.
Day 08: Bomdila - Kaziranga (270 Kms / 7 ½ Hrs) After breakfast drive to Kaziranga. Check in Hotel. Overnight in Kaziranga.
Day 09: Kaziranga
Early morning go for Elephant ride@ 5AM.Return for Breakfast Jeep safari in the Central Range. Overnight at Kaziranga.
Day 10: Kaziranga - Guwahati
After breakfast drive to Guwahati. Afternoon visit Kamakhya temple. Evening River cruise over the river Brahmaputra.Overnight in Guwahati.
Day 11: Guwahati Airport Departure (250 Kms / 5 Hrs)
After breakfast transfer to Guwahati airport for onward journey. Tour Ends Here.
